Heading Back

I'm typing this LIVE from my former office's public computer. I'm currently on my way back to UTP. Today, I move from the land of high-speed internet into the valley of medieval technology, from free time to busyness.

Nevertheless, there is much to be done, much to be accomplished, and a legacy to be left before my official departure from UTP. I hope I can post more frequently on this blog once the semester starts...

Lesson Learned

Something I came across a few weeks ago while hanging out with my cousin. The infamous Jaya Supermarket in Seksyen 14, PJ that collapsed during renovations. Kinda reminds me of one thing. This is what your life would look like if not built on the Solid Rock...

Away...

I have been away for quite a while... since I've been on leave from work for about 1 week plus. Just only got back today, and since I don't have internet access elsewhere.

Went on a trip up north to Perak (how ironic, since I will be going back there soon again. But the next time will be for a more gloomy purpose) with the family and church staff. It was a trip of BIG eating. I ate like crazy and even didn't realize I ate 5 and a half bowls of rice on one occasion. XD

Anyways, I got to be doing my final report for internship now. Kinda stuck... and I don't really have any direction with regards to anything next semester. Pray for me.

I Miss...

My parents, the Gf, my car, church, my internet connection, my mobility, doing crazy stuff, pranking people, Kelana Jaya station at 7 p.m., Murni's, Pringles from US, nice food trips with gf, futsal, watching football matches, our old CG, COP Tronoh, Crash n Burn, Civil gang...

I Am Unable to Go Online

This is really sad. I will not be able to blog for I don't know how long as I suddenly cannot use my phone as modem any longer. Oh well... Anyways I'm typing all this from the computer in my office while having a nice warm cup of free Milo from the vending machine while Michael Buble's "Sway" is playing in the background.

I shall try and blog from here every once in a while until I get good connection. Anyways, to gf and all her tormented coursemates who will be having TP test tomorrow, may God bless you and give you good results for it and A GOOD REST afterwards. =D

I just realised that 09 09 09 09 - 9.00 a.m., 9th September 2009... A unique date/time combination in the calender, would be spent punching in my attendance at work tomorrow. Gee, what a way to celebrate a unique moment.

The Prank

Was supposed to have dinner at 6 p.m. today. But since Desmond couldn't make it so we postponed it to 7 p.m. Me, Thean Jern and Lat were waiting for Kee Siong to come to Taman Bahagia LRT station. We waited from 6.30 p.m....

... and waited...

... right until 8 p.m. T_T

So we decided to devise a plan to "teach" him a lesson. We were gonna pretend that we're really mad at him, to the point that we don't wanna talk in the car, turn off the radio and make everything really tense. We even planned the taglines. It was a fool-proof plan.

So when he finally turned up, we put on our serious faces and acted really cold and disappointed in his late showing. I kick-started it by turning around coldly and saying softly, "Let's go,". Thean Jern put on an angry face and refused to talk to Kee Siong or even look at him. I started the car and the radio was playing. I said to Lat quietly, "Turn off the radio,"

It was really quiet and tense in the car... He was really feeling it. Until Lat talked to him. =.=

We continued to play the game until dinner but eventually the effect was diminished so I decided to reveal it to him. At least he gave a sigh of relief and said that my acting was very realistic, and also that Thean Jern seemed angry at him, even at moments giving comments that indicated his disapproval towards Kee Siong's "offence".

The Most Pointless Thing I Did Today

I normally have my meals in the office. So my meals are kinda like "Kinder Joy" surprises that I get everyday. Never know what's for lunch beforehand. So I kinda realized that the time it takes for me to finish my meal varies from day to day. So, having a lot of time on my hands, I tried to derive an expression to determine the speed of my eating a standard meal.

The following is the solution I have obtained:

There are infinite variables that we can consider. However I have decided to omit the less quantifiable variables which will complicate the calculations, such as food dislikes, allergies, being picky etc.

Assumptions:

1. All food is at least acceptable to the eater

2. Speed varies from one individual to another

3. The meal consumed is not for luxury, but rather out of necessity

4. Taste (acceptability) and Portion are the only variables that govern the magnitude of speed

First, we isolate the influence of each parameter on the magnitude of speed.

We can see that Taste is directly proportional to Speed while Portion is inversely proportional to Speed.

Next, we combine the two variables to support the accuracy of the above method with a simple table.

where, -- represents, Extremely Low Speed

- Low Speed

O medium Speed

+ High Speed

++ Extremely High Speed

Therefore, I conclude that:-

Speed = Constant x Taste/Portion

Perhaps I may be wrong, but I guess. This means I'm probably thinking too much or I'm just too bored and missing Gf too much. =(

She's Coming Back =)

Yup. You heard read it. Gf is coming back from her Singapore trip and this means me gonna get to see her soon =D

Just can't wait bee. Wanna eat in Seoul Garden and watch Transformers 2! (malunya belum tengok) =D

I Miss You

Gf is in Singapore now visiting her aunt. She just left at 5 p.m in the evening via air. I already miss her. =(

I have been reading so many pages and finished 2 books. Feeling bored and lonely without you. But 9 days will pass by soon rite? =D

Btw this has always been my favorite pic though, and it stands on my table. =D

Tomorrow

Tomorrow morning I set out on a 3 hour journey to Setia Alam. Packed all my stuffs and gonna load them into the car tomorrow morning. I guess this is the last post I'm gonna put up from my house in quite a while. Gonna miss the wonderfully fast internet connection. =(

For those who do not know, internship is starting this monday. Honestly I still have no idea whether I'm ready for this. But anyways, I would not be needing to wear a tie for the whole time when I'm there. 

It's gonna be 5-day weeks, I hope. So that I can have my weekends free to go and enjoy. Whatever the case, I definitely need to learn a few roads fast so I can get to where I want to. =) Then can bring gf to go out more dy. =D

I've got my room keys already. And I've also got new matresses and all the stuff to squeeze into my small room. Being completely honest, I feel kinda uncertain about how I'm going to survive this 8 months there. Will I be able to adapt well with nobody I know working in the same place? 

Nevertheless I know that God will be faithful. Regardless of what His plan is for me, I know it's gotta be good. Just wanna be able to enjoy the luxury of having NO CLASSES whatsoever for a whole semester and come out feeling great. =)

Oh yea, for those of you who actually do read my blog, do help me click on my ads yea. Need a little help as my account is still stagnant at the "zero" mark. *sobs*

AND AND AND...... I am super-duper jealous that my brother in Singapore has got as his birthday present, a KOP END TICKET TO WATCH LIVERPOOL IN ACTION AGAINST SINGAPORE!!! *shakes fists in anger* Will kill him if he doesn't get me  souvenir. LOL 

That Suku Little Yellow Ball Thing!

This week is so busy and tiring. Definitely need something to take the tension off once in a while. So lately have been playing this crazy game called Loco Roco on PSP. 

This ball-shaped thing with some teletubbie antenna is just there and you need to tilt his environment and make him jump around to move and gain weight. The more you get, the more weight it puts on. (Think that's the only time people say, "the more weight the better" XD)

The gameplay is okay and it's kinda kiddie and all, but I guess the only reason why I keep playing it is because this ball thing is the most suku creature I've seen. It sings this crazy-sounding song at times and it splits into little tiny versions of itself when struck by lightning. The thing that always cracks gf and I up is the way it shouts when the little versions of it start coming together to form the fat guy again. =D

Anyways, I think I'm really tired now. Starting to talk crap. Gonna rest now.

The Beginning of The End

The end of the week is here, and I have to return to UTP to go through study week now. Time to go full gear into study mode and hope not to be in need of sleep by the time exam week arrives.

There have been a couple of positives in this semester and loads of blessings that I can go on and on about, but I'm feeling kinda sleepy.

Time to get my exam supplies: Books, pens and lots of Choki-choki...

Exam Timetable

Timetable just came out recently. It seems to be that the 1st week of exam I have only 1 paper *smiles*, which is Malaysian studies.

But the moment I scroll down to look at the 2nd week...

The Thanksgiving Post

Well, this is almost the state I'm in though, minus the Russian thing and the dirty things. *lol*

Have been very very very busy with the final examination since 2 weeks ago. Before the final I just came off a series of horrible tests and stressful studying nights. But really PRAISE GOD that He helped me to pull through such a period.

When I got the final timetable for the examinations, it was kinda crazy looking as it features for the first time in my uni life, 3 STRINGS OF BACK-TO-BACK PAPERS. =.=

Just finished my Structural Analysis paper actually and I'm nursing a damaged hand due to too much writing. Finished my paper exactly on the dot. Nevertheless the paper was fantastic. Once again, really PRAISE GOD. He really blessed me with massive improvements in my studies this semester and I'm really thankful after every paper I take. The BACK-TO-BACK PAPERS aren't easy and I know there's no way I can ever go through those papers without His help. =D

Finally, I'm going to take a breather now and just lay back and relax for a while. Once again, PRAISE GOD!!

Holidays Finally!!

Finally the first 2/3 of the semester is over and we are on Raya break now. *grins*

Just came back from camp and had a really super time there though. =D The camp was in Chefoo Methodist Center in Cameron Highlands and the weather was so cold that the night we returned to UTP my whole body was feeling sooooooooooo PANAS despite having the fan set to a maximum speed of 5. XD

Will be spending the remainder few days in pg with girlfriend and eating nice nice food.. *drools* unlike the situation we had in UTP despite it being Ramadhan. Normally Ramadhan would mean that the food would be extra nice when it comes to breaking fast time. Unfortunately this was not so for this year. So yea... you can imagine how much I'm craving really really nice food.

Well, so far had some really nice food. Had some beautiful spag cooked by girlfriend and wonderful soup cooked by her mum. To top it up, we had a little bit of Macademian Nut-flavoured Haagen Dazs ice-cream. *drools at the thought of it again*

Anyways, enough said. More pictures it shall be =)

Post-Batman Syndrome

Okay, I have not been posting for a long time.

No internet connection for 2 weeks plus + assignments and piling lab reports = Lazy to blog

Same old, same old. But I guess I better post something here so this place won't be so dead. lolx.

Here's a little video I got from Jared. I find it quite funny though. It's been a while since Dark Knight and Lego has recently launched this Batman game which is pretty interesting. Here's the trailer. The usual Batman stuff, only thing... This time Alfred kicks ass! Batman is very much a decoration here. Enjoy

I Love Hate Sony Ericsson

For some reason. Sony Ericsson just ruined the Daughtry Street Jam. Was so looking forward to watching them that girlfriend and I were willing to take the weekend to travel to KL. Since we were already kinda pissed that Sony Ericsson decided to sell tickets buy forcing people to buy phones. It's like about 300++ for 1 ticket. Regardless of where you are standing.

Went all the way to 1 Utama, which is actually pretty inconvenient for a street party. They sealed up the whole place from the view of the public (who did not buy their phones) and even took extensive measures to block off certain places in the shopping mall that would allow people to peep into the concert. Of course, that didn't stop us from being able to catch a glimpse of the band warming up though.

Thanks to the efforts of Jason, we found out that the restaurant "Chilis" has a place that overlooks the concert ground. So with some painstaking efforts, we finally got a place at that coveted balcony area (many people were eyeing it though), but the worst was yet to come.

We had to wait 4 FREAKIN' HOURS for Daughtry to come out. There were so many (and I really really mean MANY) performances by Malaysian artists, one after another. No offence to Malaysian artists. They were good and all, especially the turntablists. The thing is, people don't pay Sony Ericsson so freakin' much to have Daughtry come as a sideshow. Daughtry only performed about 30 minutes or so (fyi, the turntablists had 45 minutes! until they made it more like a street clubbing party).

But here comes the climax. We were just done with another performance and the emcees came out saying, "Do you wanna see Daughtry?" crowd cheers. "Then chant with me. Daughtry, Daughtry..." crowd chants. "Put your hands together for... idol... Ladies and gentlemen... DANIEL LEE!!!" =.='' That was the last straw.

Conclusion. I Hate Sony Ericsson.
